Jim Dykes has held a New York City guide license for over 20 years. Born in the south, Jim has become an expert on his adopted town of New York City. His style of guiding is casual, warm and personal...like spending time with a friend for a few hours. One southern lady on a tour said: "We understand you...you speak our language!"

 Jim's tours are personalized-- His show business and tour careers have overlapped, thus allowing Jim to sprinkle his New York tours with insider tidbits about the rich & famous (he's met many of  them) and tell personal stories that humanize the big city. Jim always says: "If New York is a tall glass of champagne, the celebrities are the bubbles!" Because of his many celebrity anecdotes, Jim was nicknamed The Celebrity Tourguide by Joan Rivers on her show, followed by "Just fabulous!"

In just the past 3 months, Jim has been in films such as SEX AND THE CITY2 (out in May), The Adjustment Bureau starring Matt Damon, Wall Street 2, The Bounty starring Jennifer Aniston, Law & Order SVU and 30 ROCK among others.

You may recognize Jim as the "funny husband & dad" in any number of TV  shows and commercials such as ODOR EATERS, Home & Garden, SPRINT, Coca-Cola, GNC, Diet Seven-UP, G.E. and others.
